IFO 380

The IFO (Intermediate Fuel Oil) is a member of the group of residual fuels used by tankers in the international market marine fuel.

The use of these fuels is conditioned by the manufacturers and operators whose decision is based on economies of operation provided by the fuel handling equipment (tankers, heaters, filters, centrifuges, etc.).

The IFO 380   is a mixture of distillate and residual fuels that generate an intermediate fuel, this mixing is done in order to provide a fuel to the needs of handling, pumping and viscosity for proper operation of the various combustion equipment adapted .

The IFO 380 is used as fuel in boilers, stationary engines and large diesel engines.
